He inspired those around him to achieve their highest aspirations, instilling ideals of discipline, integrity, and fortitude. He believed that life's challenges were meant to help you discover who you are. He was a devoted husband and caring father whose spirit is caring on by his wife, Linda Takeda (Fukuda); sons, Jason and wife Amy, Matthew and wife Diana; and daughter Nicole. He also leaves behind his mother, Katusko Takeda, brother, Mac and wife Kieko Takeda, sister Joyce and husband Steve Hirata, and beloved friends and family. Linda, I just heard of Jeff's passing this afternoon, and I am so sorry for your's and your children's loss. The four years that I worked with you and Jeff were so fun, so many memories, and I am shocked and saddened by his passing. Some of my fondest memories of Saint Agnes are of joking with Jeff and his subtle sense of humor. I think he enjoyed some of the dumb things I would come up with and he would come up with plenty of his own. He was quite clever. He taught me a few things about honor and respect and I will have those virtues for the rest of my life. I often wished I would run into him while out and about, but that never happened. He was someone that I know I could've picked up a conversation with very easily despite the fact that we hadn't seen each other in many years. He was a great guy.

Dear Linda, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I will always remember my conversations with Jeff, from drying persimmons to talking about baseball. He was kind, polite, and always had a smile to greet you. Please take comfort in your family, one day at a time. Rene Mertens

I will miss you Jeff. Cheryl used to call you Uncle Jeffy. I called you friend. We had the same taste in weird movies and I enjoyed talking with you about them. Many stories with the leaves in your pool and the turkey fryer. Such a wonderful, joyful person. You will be missed. Till we all meet again....Laura Clinger

For Linda & children----it was my great privilege to know & to work with Jeff. On occasion we had our differences, but he was always a gentleman, soft spoken & a pleasure to work with.
