Jeffrey Tonkin Obituary
Jeff was born November 16, 1943 in California to Rolland and Lucille. In 1968 he married Nana Jane Karnes, aka his "lovely and tall wife." While serving in the US Army, he was wounded in the Vietnam War for which he received a purple heart.
When they settled in Northern Colorado, Jeff worked at Hewlett Packard for twenty years. Ft Collins is also where he and Nana raised four kids, welcomed two daughters in law, a son in law, and 10 grandchildren...all of whom he loved and loved him.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Clearwater Church, Fort Collins.

Dearest Tonkin Family,
Our hearts go out to you in the loss of Jeff, your strong, resilient, joyful husband, father and grandfather. Jeff made such an impression on his with his wise words, sense of humor and loving presence. He will be missed! Prayers for God's comfort and peace to surround each of you.

I had the honor and privilege to know and work with Jeff during my 20 + years at Hewlett Packard. He was a man of integrity, deep knowledge of his profession, and very customer focused. He would drop everything to help others in need and had such a unique and engaging personality. We also swapped colorful war stories given our US Army service in VietNam. He was truly an American Hero!

I recall Jeff as a great dad who was always involved in his kids activities.
I met Jeff through Eric, who attended Boltz Junior High.
My prayers are with Jeff, Eric and his family.
