Belleville, Illinois - Jenny Sue Eble (nee Burke), 71, of Belleville, IL passed away on January 1, 2022. She was born on October 11, 1950 to James and Genevieve Burke in Anna, IL.
Jenny graduated from Belleville Township High School, obtained a Bachelor's in English at SIUE, and then decided to go to back to school to get her BSN at Belleville Area College. She was a nurse at St. Elizabeth's Hospital for most of her career, after which she worked as a paralegal. She loved to read and learn and would've happily been a professional student if that was an option. Jenny loved cats and enjoyed traveling with her husband Joe. She was a faithful member of Eastview Baptist church in Belleville. Above all else, Jenny was a proud mom and grandma. To know her was to love her; her sharp wit and kind heart will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, Joseph Ray Eble and her parents, James Burke and Genevieve Burke (nee Golightly).
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kerry Dysart; grandson, Jhett; sister, Jackie Wood; niece, Kendra Grunow; nephew, Jason Wood; Lacey Arcos, who was lovingly referred to as her "alternate daughter;" and her cat, Baby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society.
Visitation: Guests may visit from 2 – 4 PM on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
