Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Jenny's passing. I grew up with Her in Wallace. So many wonderful memories of our childhood together. Never a dull moment with Jenny around. My sincere condoleces to Her Husband, Steve & Sister Melinda.

Jenny was a great cheerleader in school at WRH and a very nice and fun person

I cannot believe that this strong, vibrant, caring classmate and friend is gone. We loved her from first grade on. So glad she lived such a full life.

I've admired Jenny since we were the first Junior High Class-- she in 9th grade and I in 8th, at the former Charity Senior High School. We attended WRH and NC State at the same time. I have never known a high school chief cheerleader with more leadership and enthusiasm than Jenny. Dovie was a terrific Mother. What a prize she parented!

My heart is saddened

I will surely miss seeing Ms. Oliver she made everyone around her feel special, when really she was the special one. I feel so honored to have known her. Rest in peace my friend, I will NEVER forget you!!

Steve,
I am deeply saddened at the news of Jenny's death. Jennie was in racial awareness training that Becky Leonard and I conducted when she was with NCSU housing. She never forgot what we taught her, and she commented on the training every time I saw her. She was a devoted professional who made the world a better place. Please accept my most sincere condolences.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Jenny Penny's passing - Jenny was inspirational to many including myself. I enjoyed working with her at the College of Education, and am very glad that she was my friend during that same period of time. Jenny was always capable of helping others, regardless of the amount of time - moreover, her educational research projects indeed, touched the lives of so many in Athens. You are missed JPO.

The first though that comes to mind when thinking about Jenny is that she was rarely short on words, including generous expressions of compassion, support and love. She was a true joy to be around and such a wonderful asset to our community. As my mother said, "I just can't imagine a world without her in it." It' s a little less bright because she's gone.
