Jerome (Jody) Lapham Jr., 87, of Bedford, NH passed away on Thursday June 12th, 2025, at the Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health.


He was born in Fort Edward NY on May 25th, 1938, to the late Gladys (Contryman) and Jerome Lapham Sr. Raised in Glens Falls NY, he graduated from Glens Falls High in 1956 and continued his education at Clarkson University and then Case Western University where he obtained his master’s degree in physics and chemical engineering. After graduation, he worked as an engineer in the semiconductor industry for many years before his retirement in 2002.


In his free time Jody enjoyed skiing, woodworking-specifically restoring antique boats, gardening, geology-rock collecting, photography, music and countless other interests.


Along with his parents, Jerome is predeceased by his brother Charles Lapham.


He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Diane Lapham; daughter Kristen Lapham; his two sons, Scott Lapham and J. Lapham; his five stepchildren and their spouses; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


Per the family’s request, services will not be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and details will be posted once arrangements have been made.
