Not sure what to say?

IT HAS BEEN A LITTLE OVER TWELVE YEARS SINCE WE LOST 'JERRY' ROGERS, AND THOSE OF US WHO KNEW HIM STILL HAVE HIM VIVIDLY IN OUR MEMORIES. 'YODAR' (A UNIQUE NICKNAME) IS TRULY UNFORGETABLE, AND ALL THE REMEMBRANCES ARE POSITIVE, HE ENRICHED THE LIFE OF ALL WHO KNEW HIM. HIS NAVY FRIENDS AND CO-WORKERS WHO KNEW HIM FOR SO MANY YEARS ARE DOUBLY FORTUNATE TO HAVE SHARED SO MUCH OF HIS LIFE.

JERRY ROGERS LEFT US TEN YEARS AGO BUT STILL LIVES VIVIDLY IN THE MEMORIES OF ALL WHO KNEW HIM.

Lucia, I am so sorry for your loss. Jerry and Lucia the perfect couple. You were at each other's back always and made home a home. I pray for you and Jerry that your blessed memories will always comfort and keep you. My dear niece, I'm here call me anytime. I love you always, Aunt Bar

When I first met Jerry, I was a young widowed mom with three small children. He hired me when I needed a job the most. We worked together (he was the boss) for many years until we both were promoted to different offices. I can not begin to espress the many ways Jerry touched my life. I will miss him. My deepest sympathy to the family. Rest in the peace of knowing we will see him again.

God bless you in this time of sorrow we are sending prayers and love to Lucia and family, Jerry will be sorely missed by all of us.

I met Jerry many years ago when Lisa and Lynn were very young. He was an interesting man, very creative with woodworking. I still have the clock he made for me. Will treasure the memories. My prayers are with you and the family during this trying time.

Lucia.. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God's grace carry you through and your precious memories sustain you until you see your husband again.

Jerry (Yodar) Rogers, and I were stationed in Guam, 1957 & 58, then in Kami Seya '58 & 59, and again aboard the USS Jamestown 1966-67. He came and visited us in Bremerhaven, Germany in 1969 or '70. We have kept in contact all these years, and I was stunned when I got the news that he is gone. God Bless Jerome (Jerry, Yodar critch) Rogers. My deepest sympathy to Lucia. Dick Sorensn

My memories of "Yodar" and his friendship go back to Skaggs Island. I will never forget the "Blinking Light." Jean and I treasure our dinner with Jerry and Lucia last year in Pensacola. John "Lefty" Koval.
