Jerry Jones Obituary

Jerry W Jones, of Alexandria, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025. Jerry is survived by his daughter Jerri Haynes (Robert); and his son Shannon Jones (Ilah); his sisters Carol Lucas and Judy Thomas (Kenneth); his grandchildren Justin Jones, Jonathan Jones (Alex), James Rogers, Katy Briedenbauch (Brandon) and eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Julia Jones; his parents Ira and Ola Mae Jones; his brother Clarence Jones. A celebration of life for Jerry will be Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. David Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers are Mike Mundy, Jonathan Jones, Justin Jones, Jamie Rogers, Shannon Jones and Robert Haynes. Jerry was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He attended Alexandria High School. Jerry retired from Blue Mountain Industries and was a former Pastor at Union D and Pattons Chapel Baptist Church. He liked to hunt and fish and enjoyed a round of golf.
