Hargett Funeral Service, Inc. - Greensboro Obituary

Jerry Winford McLean was born on May 26, 1937 in Greensboro, NC to Henry and Elizabeth McLean. He departed this life on Monday, March 8th, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Jerry graduated from Brown Summit High School in 1955. He worked as a Receiving Supervisor at Jefferies Engineering for many years until the company was sold. He then worked for Olympic Products LLC until he retired in 2011.

Jerry was a father, brother, uncle and loving grandfather. He will be remembered for his clever jokes and quick wittedness. He was charismatic, charming, and never met a stranger. Jerry was always willing to help anyone, as long as you were willing to receive the lecture.

To cherish his memory are his children Wendy (Cynthia), Rodney (Toni), Kevin, Faith Williams and Kaye (Reginald) Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Alton McLean.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro.
