My father Jeff D Heard was a Texas Highway patrolman for 40 years & passed in 2005 @ 80 years old. (Stationed in Austin for 35 years). He often told me he was friends with Jeff Mikeska, & would annually attend some big BBQ feed that Mr M would put on for the law enforcement officers down by Columbus or Bastrop.
