Not sure what to say?

The students of Yerington High will miss you Mr. Ogolin.

Jerry was always upbeat and loved stirring it up. He kept us fellow administrators on our toes while teaching us not to take life too seriously. Live for the moment.

I worked with Jerry at FIS. He inspired his students and was a true friend. I remember spending noon playing cribbage with him. He will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to his family. May all the warm memories give you some comfort.

I will really miss seeing Jerry's bright smile and feel his cheery personality and outlook, it was always positive. One memory I will recall is I think before he'd even served a day of school as principal how excited and peppy he and Allan Ross, a new VP, were as they watched Yerington play a good Douglas team in the championship match of the Yerington Tourney that Aug. 2006. Jerry, I enjoyed serving on various accreditation teams with you. Your vibrant energy and passion for great education inspired me, as a teacher. While visiting YHS as part of the accreditation team, I saw your pride for your staff and your kids. Your smile that day could've lit up the town of Yerington for years to come. Thank you for all you did. You will be missed.

My heart goes out to all of you. Our whole family was so saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. Although I haven't seen him in years, I have special memories of a cousin with the cutest smile and fun happy personality. I am sure that he touched the life of everyone he ever met for good and he will be miss beyond words. My heart and prayers go out to all his family, especially to Bev, Don, and Jamie, his wife and children. He will never be forgotten and when we think of him it will be with love...
