I was fortunate to have Jerry as both a teacher and as a colleague. I always appreciated his honesty, his wit, and his commitment to his students. He encouraged me as a young teacher to get involved with coaching quick recall, and it showed me the importance of doing "more than what you were hired to do" in making a difference in our school and community. To the family, I pray that you will find comfort in many good memories, and in the way his life was a positive influence on so many people.
