JESSE KENNETH EDMONSON

Hernando - Jesse Kenneth Edmonson, age 93, entered the presence of God on November 25, 2010. He was a recent resident of Hernando, MS but also lived in Hardy, AR, Memphis, TN, and Harrison, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Lorena Murphy Edmonson and daughter, Jerelene Sue Edmonson Bushey; parents, Jesse Robert Edmonson and China Melbia Morris Edmonson; brothers, Basil Edmonson, Bob Edmonson; sisters, Ruth Edwards and Virginia Gibbs. Left to mourn his passing is his son, Kenneth Duane Edmonson (Susan) of Hernando, MS and daughter, Sharon Kaye Edmonson Ford of Memphis; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Angela, David, Shawn, Deanna, Amy and Megan as well as nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother JT Edmonson of OK; sisters, Lucille Gregory of MO, Lorene Fitchue of AR, Roxie May of AZ and Maxine Seals of WA. He was a retired truck driver and former Baptist preacher of several churches in and around Boone County, AR and in Memphis. He was a deacon at Spring River Baptist Church in Ozark Acres. During his years in Hardy, AR, he was an active member of the Ozark Acres community, serving the EMT/Ambulance Service, volunteer fire department and Lion’s Club. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his tulip and iris flowerbeds. His greatest joy, however, was being with his family who will miss him terribly but has the comfort of many, many years of memories.
