My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones!
Mr. Helms will always be OUR senator and those of his caliber are rare. No statesman or woman, or politician, or office holder compares to him. We would vote for him again if we can.
Thank you Senator Helms for being there for us and standing up for our values in Washington! May you receive the laurels in Heaven you richly deserve.
Sincerely,

My deepest sympathies go out to Mrs. Dot Helms and to the family of the Honorable Jesse Helms. I have admired Mr. Helms from the times I listen to him on WRAL-TV as a child. As I watched the memorial service via WRAL online on Tuesday my view and opinion of the Honorable Senator from North Carolina was further validated that this Christian Gentleman loved his family, his country, and the Lord and only sought to serve Him as best he could. May the blessings of our Lord comfort and keep you all.

We so appreciated these traits of his and the many years that he dedicated to public service. We would like to express our appreciation to his family, too, because holding a political office often infringes on family privacy more so that other occupations do. ...
