Not sure what to say?

Paula,
Keith and I were so saddened to hear of your loss. We have such fond memories of you and Jay. We are asking God to hold you tight in HIS arms...just as HE is doing for Jay...right now. What comfort there is in knowing that. We send our love and will be praying.

Your Brother and Sister in Christ,

Paula,
We will miss him until we see him again

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Lininger family. Jay was a great guy. His sketches provided many a humourous moment during our years in school.

To the entire Lininger family

I am truly sorry for this sudden loss of Mr. Lininger. I remember Mr. and Mrs. Lininger from may days when I attended The West Shore Free church. I know longer attend West Shore Free, but wanted to extend my extreme sorrow for your loss. May God continue to bless ALL of you and may the many prayers continue for healing of saddened hearts. Debbie Cottom (Daughter of Walt and Judy Cottom)

We are so very sorry to hear about Jay's passing. The entire mineral collecting community has lost a wonderful, dedicated friend who will be greatly missed.

Paula, I am so saddened to learn of Jay's death. I have so many fond memories of him sitting in our living room and talking to Erston and I about minerals. When we were editors of our club newsletter we published some of his early articles about the history of minerals in PA. I learned so much as I typed them. Let's envision Erston and Jay talking minerals in heaven. My prayers are with you and your family as you adjust to life without him.

We cannot express the great sadness and shock we feel at the loss of our dear friend and mentor Jay Lininger. Penn Minerals exists today because of the support and focus given to me by Jay. Of all the joys this endeavor has to offer, it is the friendship and the camaraderie of this community that we value most. Jay led the way. Please lift up Jay, his wife Paula and their family with your prayers. He will be missed.

I SEND MY HEARTFELT SORROW FOR JESS'S WIFE AND KIDES AND RELATIVES

Words cannot express the grief and sadness we feel for the loss of Jay Lininger, a true professional and long-time friend. My 20-year association with Jay has been among my most cherished friendships in my many years in publishing, and Jay will be well-remembered, always, and sorely missed. Our heartfelt condolences to Paula and the entire Lininger family. Oxford University Press deeply mourns the loss of a lovely human being and a great friend.
