Jessie Lee Dawson was born in Beaumont, Texas, on the 20th of December 1914, and passed away on Thursday, the 17th of December 2015, in Houston.
Jessie was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, James Claude Dawson, Jr.; and son, Thomas Michael Dawson. She is survived by her son, James Claude Dawson, III and beloved daughter-in-law, Jeanie LaBree.
The Graveside Service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 23rd of December, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road in Houston.
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to the Houston Alzheimer's Association, 6055 South Loop East, Houston, TX 77087-1005

I was a friend of her son. Jim. She was always such a sweet lady whenever I was at her home.

Jim, I was so sorry to see your Mom in the paper. I know she has had very loving care in the past years. It's never easy to give up our Mom. Mine passed away in 2008. My thoughts are with you and your wife at this time. Linda Theis McKinney

Jim, I read about your mom this morning in the Chronicle. Sorry to see that but you had her a long time. Also noticed that Tommy is gone too. It has been so many years.
