Jim Ciocian Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 9, 2022.

Jim Ciocian passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 79.

Born in Trenton, Jim resided in Langhorne for 33 years with his loving wife, Sheila and children, Christopher and Alison.

Jim had a successful career holding upper management positions at several banks ultimately retiring from Chase Bank in 2012 as vice president of their auto dealer financial services. He was well respected by his staff and clients for his integrity and his management skills.

A true "family guy" Jim supported all of his children and grandchildren's academic and sports endeavors. Through the years, Jim with Sheila by his side loved to vacation with his family and friends extensively across the US, as well as British Columbia, & Ireland. They enjoyed camping, skiing, hiking and sunning on the New Jersey and Outer Banks beaches.

He was especially proud to have hiked in 25 National Parks with his wife.

Jim was always generous with his time by volunteering at St. Mary Medical Center and Meals on Wheels. He was always ready to help his friends and family.

An avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, he was also a huge fan of Notre Dame and Penn State. In his spare time he loved relaxing by his pool with a glass of wine.

He was well liked by many friends who will miss his warm smile and sense of humor. As one friend said ,"he always made you feel special by his thoughtful & caring ways".

Beloved husband of Sheila for 54 years, he was loving the loving father of Christopher Ciocian (Melissa) and Alison Howe and devoted grandfather of, Jacob, Connor, Carly, Cullen and Maya.

He will also be missed by his sister, Julie Porembescu (Aurel); brother, George Ciocian (Eileen) and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Jim's life from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 16th at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown.

Jim was a great friend so loved by his family and friends. He was unbelievably brave throughout his illness, but still never failed to ask how you were. He will certainly be missed.

I will certainly miss Jim. I remember the great times when he visited us in New York & the Jersey shore. He was a great guy & battled his disease courageously to the end. RIP Jim
