During my four years in Dekalb teaching and coaching at Clinton Rosette Middle School, I had the wonderful good fortune to know Jim. He taught me things about teaching, coaching, and life that guided me through the years even now in 2025. I´ll never forget him.

I always include Mr. D in my prayers but was never sure how he was doing. I found out today and it is a sad one, that I never got to say Good-bye. It is difficult to state my relationship with Jim, as I have always called him my "Father, Brother, Friend". For 23 years myself and others in our neighborhood have gathered at Jim and Donna's home for some wine, wisdom, and a shitload of laughter. There is nobody like him, and there never will be. Jim has helped everyone I know at some point, my family, friends et.al. There was no judgement in this mans soul, he absolutely loved life, and it came through every time we and others were with...
