Not sure what to say?

So sad to read of Big Jim's passing. Got thinking about him recently when I was looking through old pictures so I went looking. When he was a DJ in Toronto he mentioned on air that he wanted to get a big shaggy dog, a Sheep Dog but he didn't want to spend a fortune on one. We had a purebred who had non-purebred puppies so we called him at the radio station to see if he was interested. He arrived the next day and picked up his puppy. We visited back and forth several times. He loved that dog!...

Jim was one, of the finest, people, ever, withh whom I had the pleasure to work, in Calgary. I think of him, often and, fondly.

It's been several years so this is likely way overdue but Jim and I worked at WCWA when I was working my way thru college at UT. Always great stories for an 18 year old kid. He an Frank Gilhooley formed many good memories of "Seaway Radio". I

Really brought back memories of his pic from that time. I worked that board many shifts as well.

"Big Jim" was my on air team mate and pal at CFTR Toronto in '79-'80, and then swapping notes with my friend until his passing. He's remembered fondly by all who knew him. Good dude who's missed.

I'm glad this guest book has been left permanently online.

I am saddened to discover that my ♫ "Brady in The Morning" ♫ star has returned to the heavens.

You brightened my every morning, Jim. I'm going to go find Sarah Sylvia Cynthia Stout and have a drink in your honour.

My sympathy to your loved ones for their loss, and my thanks for their sharing.

I just found out about Jim's passing.I used to listen to his morning show on CFTR Toronto when I drove to work in Pickering Ontario from 1975 until 1978.I remember him and Weather Fairy and his crowing rooster and when his show ended,he would say..."come get me mother I'm through". I have to say that Jim was the best dj back in the day.I am truly saddened about his passing and just reading about it.R.I.P Jim....you always made my morning drive to work something to look forward to.

I can't believe Jim is gone. I was just remembering him and decided to search to see what I could find out about him these days. I'm so sorry to have found this. I have so many great memories of listening to him on CFTR in my youth. That can never be taken away.

Rest in peace my love,

Lasivia
