Not sure what to say?

She will be remembered for her, grand smile and everyday determination, kindness, and unbounded knowledge of Music and Cultures around the world etc.
Her great sense of humor and caring and giving nature.
She is missed much as she was loved, Greatly, much as Father and Brother.
We were all blessed for having known you.
THANK YOU
GOD BLESS YOU

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

I remember Paradise Valley High in the middle 1960s as being a sub-standard physical campus with an outstanding and motivated young faculty. Miss Harvey was one of its stars. She taught English with a smile on her face, and extended my twenty minute attention span to 55 minutes every day I was in her class. I sat in the front row immediately in front of her desk, but I know her warmth radiated to every seat in that classroom. We were blessed to have her as a teacher, and she was blessed...

Jo Ann was department chair when I first started teaching at PVHS and then at Shadow Mountain. I will always remember her advice to be gentle in grading essay papers. She called it a compliment sandwich: slip a suggestion in between two positive comments about the writing. Great advice from a wonderful teacher and friend.

You remain in our hearts and thoughts as we continue on our daily paths. We love and miss you, but find comfort in the thought of you going on to a better place where your Dad and Brother have gone before you.

Ms. Harvey was one of my favorite teachers at PVHS. She was my instructor for Senior English. I still remember her sitting in front of the class reading poetry to us. I also remember her creative assignments that helped us all to become better writers. It was clear that she loved teaching and she cared about her students. My condolences to her family.

Ms. Harvey, my senior English teacher, was a great role model for how to teach with dignity and grace. She raised the bar on the expectations of what 17 & 18 years could learn. I hope I did half the job she did in my many years in the classroom in TX and TN.

Ms. Harvey was without a doubt the best English teacher I had in my years at PVHS 61-65. She was a very special Lady. My prayers are with you at this very trying time. God Bless You.

I remember Jo Ann Harvey as the best teacher I ever had. She was my senior English teacher in 1966 at Paradise Valley High School. I later wsorked with her at Horizon High School, she was in the Library and I was in the bookstore. She was a great lady.
