RIP Jo - So sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful person and I' m privileged to have had the chance to know her.

Jo and I became friends over 40 years ago in Dows, when I was teaching there. My students told me I should meet Jo, as she and I were a lot alike! That started a friendship that survived the test of time. She and I both had severe illnesses that we could share, and realized the pain it caused our families. I'm very saddened with the news of Jo's passing. I didn't know Jo very long but in the short time she was a part of my life, I can attest that Jo was one of the most compassionate people that I've had the privilege of knowing. In the past few years, Jo was my parents' guardian angel. She lived across the street from them and provided support and comfort in innumerable ways.
