Not sure what to say?

Joel,
I just heard today about Joan's passing and wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Joel, I came to know Joan in needlepoint classes and was always happy to see her. She made me smile, even when she wasn't feeling great. She had a smile on her face all the time. She will be missed so much.
My prayers are with you and your family.

Dr Abramowitz, I know this is a very difficult time for you and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

I offer my deepest condolences to your entire family.

Joel, Michael, and Carl

Doug and I are truly saddened by the loss of Joan. She was a wonderful, funny, witty, intelligent, caring, gracious, and loving person. I have been blest to have Joan as a friend and colleague for the past twenty years. She loved her family deeply and told great and funny stories about your life together. She was the "glue" of our department, a wise and insightful counselor to many of us. Our department has not been the same since she left. We will miss...

I was blessed to have worked with Dr. Abramowitz in the same department. She was sweet, funny and dedicated to her students. She has left her legacy and imprint upon our department, and we are forever better for her. She will be greatly missed.

Joel, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Joan was an awesome person and I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time

Joel,
Karen and I admire both you and Joan for the gallant fight. The two of you are an inspiration. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
