Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to all her family, I have been trying to contact her for several years. I've been going through many boxes and found a Christmas card saying she was going to go to North Caroline and getting all her warm cloths together to be with family for Christmas. I wanted to send her and her family s some Photos when our kids were small and fishing At Sanibal Island on the western side of Florida. After we moved from Florida in 1976 on our way to Okinawa, Japan, I would visit Joan &...

I miss Joan so much. We always looked forward to our visits with her.

Still thinking of Joan so often despite the years since her passing. What would Joan think of this? What would Joan say about that? Always a steady influence despite her passage, Joan remains in our hearts and minds.

Joan Brookwell taught me English at Escuela Internacional Sampedrana and she was one of the best teachers I've ever had. I was friends with her son Hunter and know her daughter Laura (Lori). Joan painted water colors and I just came across one of her paintings that my late father had bought. I tried to contact her, but I find out that she has passed. If her children see this message, I'd like to speak to them. Henry Fransen, Jr. 985-502-2856

My walking partner, my consul of wisdom, We laugh , examined, discussed the world over 2 mile 5 morning a week.
Joan will be missed and remembered for her laugh, intelligence, Joan lust for life.
When I laughed we laughed, we I cried she made sense of my sorrow>
Joan was and will always be a shining light in my life.

I met Joan many years ago through our local Library. She was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed. We always keep a copy of her book at the front desk for gardening reference.

Joan's family:
I cut Joan's hair for the last 20+ yrs. She was an amazing woman. We always had plants to discuss and politics to mull over. A true liberal, Joan was a voice of reason and had such a wonderful wit. She was eternally young and her wisdom was something I came to appreciate and love.
I'll miss her to pieces. You should all be very proud to have called her your own.
Much love,
Tim Crooks, Fort Lauderdale, FL
