Not sure what to say?

Joan, you were a very influential part of who I am today. Even though you are not here physically, you are definitely present spiritually. I feel your energy everywhere. You will never die because you are in the hearts of so many, including myself. It's comforting to know that another angel is taking care of me. We will be together again. I love you.

I only met you 1 time, but I feel close to you through Stephanie at North Beach Elementary. She always refered to you with loving words, "My sister Joannie" I send my condolences to you and your family, with a special hug to Stephanie. With Love.

Dear Mr. Gaffney,
You were so instrumental in developing a love of art in my son, Cameron Wilson. Your teaching and encouragement made art come alive and he won the law school art show with his painting.

It was truly an honor and a priviledge to have had Ms. Meisel-Gaffney as my teacher during my early years at Melrose, and later, as a true lifetime friend. Later in life, I enjoyed maintaining contact with Joan and Charlie and identified Joan as a 2nd mom. She was truly a remarkable teacher, a creative and loving spirit, and an advocate for all living things. I will never forget her teachings, in particular, a poem which always helped in remembering the exact order of our planets within the...

My thoughts, prayers, and condolences to Joan's family. We had lost touch over the years, but I knew and remember her as a gentle, peaceful warrior.

It has been a very very long time, but we remember Joanie as a lovely, kind young woman. Our sincere sympathy to your family.

Only when you drink from the river of silence, shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountaintop, you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.
Charlie, her grace is with you forever.
Blessings, Judie Valette
