Not sure what to say?

I met Joani on commonwealth ave. many years ago. She was an avid walker and I was an avid runner so our paths crossed countless times. She was always warm, friendly, curious and interesting to talk to. As a result, we developed a friendship of sorts. I will always remember her as a joyful loving person who embraced life and made the most of it. So sorry to hear about her passing and my heart goes out to Arthur, her family and all who loved her. Love from Joanne Dixon

As one of Joanie's Colby classmates I feel this loss and send love to her family. Joanie was one of our leaders, from the years on campus bringing our awareness beyond Mayflower Hill, to her commitment to her profession and family, and her unwavering connection to the college. With a delightful laugh she shared time with us; completing tasks, meeting responsibilities, and wrapping up the items on an agenda. A friend, colleague, role model. A spirit of life and love, you are missed.

I spent a year with Joan in a Living Learning Experimental Community at Colby with a social justice focus. What a kind and generous person Joan was.

Joan and her family were an important part of my entire childhood. She was a wonderful and kind woman. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Joan´s passing. A neighbor, a schoolmate and a friend, always with a warm smile. My sympathies to the family

Ah Joan, I shall miss you so much Your warmth, your humor ,your many kindness.Colby brought us together and our many adventures and mutual interests grew that friendship.Thank you my friend for our many shared joys in life. And much love to your ever loving family and Arthur.

I was so sad to hear about Joan. She was one of my closest friends growing up in Brockton. I remember seeing her at our 50th class reunion. She was always so bright and interesting. May her memory be for a blessing. Sheila Watnick

we are sad to hear of Joani's passing. Joani played a great rule in our lives. She set us up on a blind date and it worked. God bless you in this time of sorrow. Sincerely Steve and Caryll

To Joanie´s entire family, So sorry for your loss. Joani was a very bright, intelligent, caring person who had a great love for Judaism. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and loved her. May her memory be for an eternal blessing.
