I had the pleasure of working with Joanie at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle where we were both Breast Cancer Care Coordinators. Joanie was a caring, compassionate nurse that gave her heart and soul to her patients and they loved her for it. She was very proud of her children and all their fine...

She was a great colleague as well as a caring, compassionate advocate for all of our patients. They loved her as much as we did. We shared an office and during that time shared stories and had lots of common denominators, having both grown up in large Catholic families in the Midwest. She loved her family and spoke fondly of her children and their...

My condolences to George, John,Emily and Michael and baby Henry and all of Joanie's siblings. Joanie was such a fun spirited woman and God Bless her eternal life now with God and the heavens above. I'm so happy you no longer suffer and are in pain.

I remember my time with you and Peggy at MSU and will never forget the short time so long ago we could laugh as cousins. I made my god moms (your moms recipe for our dinner Spinach Lasagna.)

Your incredible endurance and...

My condolences to the family. Joan or as we knew her Joanie was a wonderful advocate for patients. She could solve any problem and ease any anxiety that a patient had. She brought her warmth, courage, smile and expertise to every day. I loved working with her and she always brightened my day. She selflessly gave to others. She is missed.
