Mrs Lemke was my first supervisor at my first job in August 1972 at National American Life Insurance Co. She was so kind and patient and what I remember most is her kind smile and comforting voice. I was 17 and right out of High School and had never worked before. After all these years, I still remember her well. I am sorry to hear of her passing and I extend my most sincere sympathy to her family.

Joan was an extraordinary woman. She loved her family with a depth and commitment that knew no end. She was a wonderful grandmother and helped shape and enrich the lives of all her grandchildren immeasurably. I know my son is a better man because of her love and support. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
