Not sure what to say?

Joan and Harry werew such a fun neighbors. Always a special place in my memories.

Rest in peace

I will always remember all the good times we had at your house as kids and adults. You were such a great Aunt. I am so greatful I got to see you in May. We had a good time that Saturday laughing and joking. I will remember your plate of crab legs. May you rest in peace. God bless you.

Joan, you will surely be missed. You always were upbeat and had a great outlook in life and never complained. We will miss you very much. Your friendship will always bring fond memories. Rest in peace our dear friend. Peggy & Augie

I feel blessed for having been given the opportunity to get to meet and know Joan over the past 4 years. We met in church and as time passed I knew our friendship was more than a coincidence. I wanted to share a fond memory of how Aunt Joan and the Nielsens warmly and graciously hosted our family when we unexpectedly had to extend our stay in Howell, NJ in 1987. My father (her brother) Ed was hospitalized for an emergency appendectomy the day we were slated to return to the midwest.

My thoughts go out to your family, wishing you all peace, love and comfort.

I am so sad to hear of Joan's passing such wonderful memories of hanging at Harry and Joan's, sometimes to all hours. So many laughs and good times. First and last time ever had dandeline wine. I always remember Joan smiling and laughing. She will so be missed. My prayer are with Harry,Karen,Jr, and Eric. Rest in peace my friend.

To know her was to love her, whether you were having spaghetti and meatballs at her house, sitting by the fire that Harry always made or just listening to her 50's music on the deck they were just the best of times and I am so glad to have been a part of them. I will cherish my memories of Joan for the remainder of my life. She was just the best and she will be missed by so many. God Bless her family always. Barbara Fluhr, Howell, NJ
