Cheney, Kansas - Joan M. Rothe, age 91, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. She will be missed by all who came to know her. A celebration of Joan's life is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 W. 13th St N, Wichita, KS. Following the ceremony at 1:00 pm, there will be a gathering at the Maize Recreation Center, 10100 W. Grady Avenue, Maize KS, for a light lunch and snacks to further celebrate Joan's life. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Cheney Golden Age Home for the care she received. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate in her memory to Rainbows United, or the Kansas Food Bank.
