I met Joan and Tom when they were in Guam. I kept in touch with them through the years. Both of them were very special people. I will remember Joan through her laughter. She truly loved life. Leilani Clark

I met Joan in Guam where she accompanied her husband as he worked with the Department of Education. She had the most beautiful smile and her eyes just sparkled when she greeted you. I will never forget how gracious she and Tom were when they opened up their home while Dave and I were enroute to England.

Our sincere condolences. We will always remember her for the kindness she showed to our son, Danny, when he was a kid waiting for the bus on the corner. She would always invite him to stand in her garage when there was inclement weather. A wonderful human being, who will surely be missed by many.

I am so very, very sad over the profound loss of my dear friend, Joan. I extend to her family my deepest and heartfelt sympathy. Joan was a lovely, kind person, and I am richer for having had the pleasure and privilege to know her and call her my friend.
