I have attended the Active Wellness gym in Napa for several years. A friend of Joe's (Bob) introduced me to Joe while at the gym. Joe was certainly one of the nicest and kindest persons I have known at the gym for several years. He always had a smile on his face and was definitely a "man of character". Also, loved his witty personality! He will certainly be missed!

I have known Joe since he was 14. I can remember how much fun he had playing a Japanese Samurai. He was a super guy and we had a lot of fun messing around. I can remember him asking me all kinds of questions about electricity and other construction information. I was excited to see him become a contractor. I myself was one to so I know how much it meant to him to build things. His death was real shock to me and I imagine everyone that knew him feels the same way. No doubt that he's up in...

My heart breaks for your family. Joe was such a kind, thoughtful, and generous soul, and I feel truly grateful to have known him. I will always remember the way he made people feel cared for, and the warmth he brought to those around him. Your family was always good to me, and I am keeping you all close in my thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time. May his memory live on through his children, grandchildren, and the many lives he touched. Marni Smith

Joe was many things to many people. Loving son, brother, father, husband, and friend to start. His sudden passing is such a tragic loss.

Joe will be extremely missed. He was our friend and in many cases our savior in all things construction. Always willing to help and so generous with his time and talent. We will miss his childlike joy for travel and exploration. His laugh and his wit. We will sadly just miss our dear friend and the adventures that were yet to have been had. We are so thankful for the years that we did have together. Rest in peace Joe!! You were loved in this world and we will see you in the next. R&S
