Read MoreI knew Joe from days at the one-room 29 Palms Seventh-day Adventist Church & Elementary School and TPHS. He was fun, kind and funny-a great guy. I had been wondering whatever happened with Joe, and tried calling him several months ago. I am so saddened to know he has passed away, and I wasn't able to reconnect. I will pass this sad news along to our other SDA Church School classmates. May God bless you!

I first met Joe playing in minor league baseball at Luckie Park in 29, nearly 60 years ago. We were friends over the years but it has been decades since seeing him. His passing is sad, had hoped to catch up and share details of our lives. Joe was usually quiet/easy-going, as well as friendly and reliable. He will be missed by those who knew him.
