Not sure what to say?

My best memories of Joe are at Althoff Catholic High School. He played football and I will always remember his "bow legged" speed and ability to take a hit! I never saw him without a smile on his face and not ready for an adventure. I can assure you anyone who spent any time with him will have a memorable and funny story. Hearing his name in conversation always brings a smile to anyone in the discussion. Rest in Peace Hondo and thanks for some great times. Smitty

He was my neighbor and friend a long time ago but the memories of him and the rest of his family are still fresh. He was a good friend.

I'm a total stranger but the John Denver lyric caught me. I can tell that Joe had a vision and love of nature. I am sure Joe found his heart out West and touched many people's hearts. Blessings and condolences to his family.

I never met Mr. Hernandez, but I found the words of his family about him to be profound. What a beautiful remembrance...what a beautiful song. Peace to you, Zach.
