D. C. "Carl" Mauldin

D. C. “Carl” Mauldin, 76, of Conway, died Sunday, November 9, 2003.

Mr. Mauldin was born March 24, 1927 at Shirley, Arkansas, a son of the late Rufus and Myra (Brown) Mauldin. Carl was also preceded in death by sisters, Aileen Gibbs; Ethelene Miller; Loraine Hawks; and a brother Robert Mauldin.

He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church; and was retired from Virco. Carl loved to fish and hunt.

Carl is survived by his wife, Fran Mauldin of Conway; sons, Wade Reynolds of Mayflower; Carl Mauldin of Conway; Dennis Mauldin of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Betty Sue Baker of Greenbrier; a brother, R. J. Mauldin of North Little Rock; a sister Nadine Mauldin of Conway; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and was “PaPa” to his family at Independent Living Service at Conway.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the funeral home.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2003 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett—Conway with Ray Charles Jordan and Carl Campbell officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum under direction of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home of Conway, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, Arkansas 72034; 327-5000.
