Would like to send condolences to Joe’s son Robert & family. Although we never got to know you Robert, our fathers were fast & lifelong friends who grew up in the village. He was an amazing teacher and a wonderful person...always easy to talk to. I had him over 50 years ago at Bronx Science and still remember how much I enjoyed his classes. To this day, I remember his explanation of a split infinitive --- "to boldly go"---. Rest in Peace, Mr. Scavone.
