Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to the family. Joe and I are direct descendants of the same Vosoba who is buried in the Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction, Jones County, IA. Unfortunately for me when he visited Oxford Junction in the 70´s I was not at home. But I later met him in Pisek while I was traveling in the Czech Republic. We shared much family history. While I was in CR I spent several days in the area of Brezi where the Vosoba´s originated. I felt a definite connection to the people...

I met Joe and his family some time ago, but still remember with great respect and clarity, how enriching and memorable those moments were. Joe was an inspiring man, with great character and big heart. Sincere condolences to Kathy and the rest of the family. RIP Joe, you had a life worth living. Dominika, CZ

During the year I spent as a Czech student in Nebraska, I had the privilege of knowing Joe as a man whose kindness, generosity, and wisdom left a lasting impression on me. Even in his later years, his sharp intellect and quick wit never faded, making every conversation with him both inspiring and enriching. I will always remember him with deep respect and gratitude. His spirit will live on in the many hearts he touched, including mine. My sincere condolences to his family-may you find comfort...

My condolences to the entire family. Mr. Vosoba was a wonderful man who was very supportive of Czech students in Nebraska and did so much for the Czech Republic. Marcela Doubková and her parents Dagmar and Jirí from the Czech Republic.

Joe Vosoba was an amazing man & a giant in supporting the Czech culture in Nebraska. I am so glad to have had a chance to work with him on the University of Nebraska Foundation's Czech Advisory Committee. It was also my honor and privilege to become his friend, along with his wife Kathy. His passing is moment to reflect on an era of jubilant celebration of our Czech heritage in Nebraska which Joe Vosoba helped to lead. We will miss Joe terribly but we must continue to celebrate and promote...

Joe was a great man who did many good things. He provided service and input to a number of ideas and causes. As President of the Czech Language Foundation I want to salute him for his support for Nebraska Czech causes, being one of the original founders of Nebraska Czechs, and his organization along with the CLF worked to promote and preserve the Czech language classes at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He lived a long life, a good and honorable life and provided leadership and service...
