Joe W. WILSON

WILSON, Joe W.Age 89, passed away on the 4th of August 2011. A native of Coopertown, TN, he was a veteran of WWII, retired from AT&T with 39 years of service, an official of the Tennessee State Fair for 52 years, an official of the Davidson County Election Commission for 52 years; 47 years member of Hillsboro Church of Christ where he served as Deacon. Mr. Wilson preceded in death by his parents, Walter W and Susie Lokey Wilson; sister, Mossie Wilson; brothers, Wesley James and James C. Wilson. He is survived by the love of his life his wife of 65 years, Mildred Morris Wilson; son, Joel C. (Patricia) Wilson; grandchildren, Matthew (Jen) Wilson, Kristen (Phil) Rutterer, Andrew Wilson and Gretchen Wilson; great-grandchildren Patrick Wilson, James Wilson and Wilson Rutterer; sisters-in-law, Anne M. Snelling and Betty Scruggs; brother-in-law, Wayne Morris. The family would like to express their gratitude to Patty and Chuck Robb, Joyce Wilson, Andrea Keckley and Dr. John Nadeau. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2 o'clock in the afternoon until 8 o'clock in the evening on Sunday, the 7th of August, in a drawing room of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton. The funeral service is to be conducted at 11:30 o'clock in the morning on Monday the 8th of August in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall with Bro. Walt Leaver officiating.
