Joel "Joey" Haga, age 42 of Marion, Virginia passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at his home.
Born on July 20, 1979, to Lonnie and Bonnie Haga in Marion, Va. Joel loved watching movies, playing computer games, solving puzzles, and traveling. But more than anything he loved being his father's co-pilot while flying their airplane.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Anthony "Tony" Haga; maternal grandparents, William and June Rouse; paternal grandparents, Lonnie B. and Bradley R. Blevins, their daughter Christine Surber and husband David; and uncles Forrest Kendall and Warren Rouse.
He is survived by his loving parents; very special friend Jessie Stanley; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Bradley's Funeral Home chapel in Marion with chaplain Jon Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm prior to services. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, May 5, 2022, in the St. James Cemetery in Chilhowie. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Bradleysfh.com Bradley's Funeral Home is serving the Haga family.
