John Charles Aseltine

I am so sorry to hear this news, and offer my sincere condolences to John's family. I shared an apartment with John when we were poor physics graduate students at UCLA. John was a very easy-going roommate, and I always enjoyed visiting John's parents during Thanksgiving. He'll be sorely missed.

John and I went to school together from elementary school through college. He was a great guy with an optimistic view on life and a great sense of humor. He made this world a better place. He will be missed.

John was a very good friend of mine in high school, especially my freshman year. He sat in front of me in Rosemary Claire's Western Civilization class. He shared with me that he had health problems earlier in his life, but I don't think anyone could tell, as his spirit was always very uplifting. He was a brilliant student. I have very fond memories of many wonderful conversations with him. I am very sad to hear of his passing. Randall Rhea
