Of Brookfield. John was born to Eternal Life on August 18, 2014 at the age of 77. Treasured husband and hero of Sharon Rose (nee Neville). Dear father of Timothy Aukofer, Megan (James) Olszewski, Patrick Aukofer and Bonnie Sue (Dan) Tesch. Proud grandpa of Nicole and Nolan Esenberg, Stephanie and Rebecca Tesch and great grandpa of Lillia and Isaiah. Fond brother of Frank (Sharlene) Aukofer, Cici (Jerry) Murphy, Dottie Aukofer, Tessie Tennyson, Margie Anderson, and Clarie Aukofer.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday August 29th from 4 PM until the time of scripture service at 7 PM, followed by an optional Rosary led by the family.
Additional visitation will be held at St Dominic?s Church, Brookfield (18255 W. Capitol Dr.) on Saturday, August 30, from 9:30 AM until a eulogy at 10:15 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM. Graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorials to Disabled American Veterans and EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) are appreciated.
A virtuous man with a joyful heart. John was an engineer at Johnson Controls by profession, but he also had many talents and interests ranging from?acting, dancing, writing skits, cooking, skiing, biking, singing in the church choir to train enthusiast. His infectious smile and humor radiated joy to everyone. John never let life?s adversities steal his zest for life.
I wish to extend condolences to Dottie Aukofer. Dottie worked in the Marquette U admissions office when I started working there on 25 September 1961.

Tim, Megan and Patrick, you lived on 46th St when we first moved here on 45th. You were our backyard neighbors and life went on from there. My deepest sympathy to the Aukofer family. I am positive that John and his siblings visited Pewaukee Lake during summers a long time ago. I lived a few doors down and was Clarie's age. Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the family for the wonderful memories of youth: warm summers, wishing on stars, music, dancing, and summer friendships.
