i recall many cherished memories of John- a childhood friend and neighbor. Baseball, football in our backyards and John's competitive spirit which I always new would lead him to the Marines. Rest in Peace my good friend Joe Chrest

I am very proud to have served with John with the Comm Plt of 1st, Bn, 26th Marine Regiment in Vietnam during 1966/67. He was a good Marine and, above all, a great man. It was great to see him last year in Chicago . We had some good conversations during that reunion. I wish we could have gotten together sooner. Semper Fi, John!

Good journey my old friend. I remember you well all the way from when 1/26 formed up in CA through Hill 55 and Khe Sanh. We lost track after Vietnam. Sounds like your life was good and fruitful. Warm thoughts to your family and your memory.

I remember John as a fellow BLAIR Rd Overlea guy. Also served the mail to my mothers house. Marine and really nice guy Dr Ken Hatch Annapolis, Md
