IT'S BEEN A WEEK NOW SINCE WE LOST A GREAT GUY...I TALKED TO JOHN EVERY WEEK ONCE OR TWICE JUST TO BS..IT WAS JUST LIKE THE OLD DAYS ON THE HILL..I'LL MISS HIM,BUT I'LL STILL HAVE THE MEMORIES OF A GREAT GUY....BOBBY CARVEL

It is hard to believe a month ago we were having lunch together and now you have left us. You will be missed and remembered.

I can't believe it's been a week already since you left us. I have thought of you everyday and have so many things I wanted to say to you. You told me once that you were sorry you couldn't keep your promise to David about taking care of Vickie and I for him, but you DID John, and you still are. David I'm sure has told you how proud he is of you. This has been so hard on Vickie, but rest assured that I will take care of her for you. We WILL all be together again one day, until then know...

I'm grateful to have known John since childhood and then to have been with him twice again in the last year, after so many years had gone by. He was always a guy you could count on, and he will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace John...

John was a true friend who would drop anything to help you. I'm so glad that we stayed in touch all these 45 years plus. We will all miss him as i'm sure the rest of his friends and family will

I'm sorry I haven't been on here sooner John, but I guess I just wasn't ready to accept you were really gone. I sat at the kitchen table yesterday and cried thinking about how you use to come over on Saturday mornings and bring me a bagle and our weekly going out to eat (the three of us). It's very hard for me to put into words how much you meant to me. Not only were you my "brother-in-law" but you were my go to guy for any help I may have needed. Thank you for being part of our family and...

I grew up around the conner from John, I know him since he was a kid. We were apart for over 40 years, and when I spoke to him it was like we just spoke yesterday. John was a true friend who would do anything for you. He will be truly missed and the Carvel Gang from all over just got a little smaller, with the loss an important member. He will always be in our hearts and in our memories and whenever we get together he will always be a part of the conversation. May God have mercy on his soul.
