I just found out about John's passing 2 days ago. I was deeply saddened when I heard the news. I was John and Nancy's dental asst. for the past 11 yrs. My thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy and their family. He was a wonderful man and I looked forward to his dental visits. He always came in with a smile, no matter what life was throwing at him.........he will be greatly missed. Heather

I am so sad to hear Dr. Blackburn has passed away. He was an excellent mentor and one of the kindest people in the world. I learned so much from him during the short time I had the opportunity to work with him at the County Attorney's Office. I will never forget him.

I am very sorry to hear about John's passing. I worked with John when he was director at CAAG. He was a great boss and sincerely cared about his staff. He moved the agency forward in challenging times- always with a positive attitude. I've always considered John a friend.

My heartfelt condolences to the Blackburn family. As you look back over the years it will not be difficult to get lost in the wonderful memories you shared. May you find strenght, comfort, guidance, and peace as each day passes. He will always walk beside you and watch over you. He did'nt go alone, part of you went with him,the day God took him home. Rest in peace Dr. Blackburn. Your journey in life was special and you will always be missed.

I am deeply saddened by John's passing he was a dear friend and was there for me with the loss of a number of family mmebers over the past several years. John was a class act and I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to his family and to let them know that they are in my thoughts and prayers.
