Not sure what to say?

John was a great friend and one of the kindest people we ever met. He and my husband Steve were very close and shared many stories out on the water together as well as on John's back porch. He was a superb human being and we miss him very much. Steve said he will see you on the water John

John did live life to the fullest. He was always so helpful when serving our community. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. May your memories comfort you and in time soften this loss.

Mr John will be missed in our street and neighborhood. He was always very active and always ready for a good conversation, sharing his experiences and all of his joy. Rest in peace Mr. John.

As a "relatively new" 3 year boating resident, I was so pleased, impressed, and appreciative of the exceptional effort John selflessly put into the community. At our request, he modestly shared all he had done to give us the incomparable amenities, and we will always be grateful. A loss for us all, indicative of a very good man.

John was a great husband, friend, and companion to my sister Reta. As a former Goodyear employee, I know that John still felt significant loyalty to his former longtime employer, The Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. I also know that he and Reta spent many wonderful years near the ocean in Mt. Pleasant and that John's later years were enhanced by his time spent in a boat. My thoughts are with Reta, of course, as well as with john's extended family.

On behalf of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, the Order offers its deepest condolences and is proud of a life well lived by Colonel Boettner.
