Not sure what to say?

little could I have known a year ago that a year later we would be observing your dear, younger brother's passing. so now you and Peter, my dear friend, can be presumed to be traveling the celestial realm in each other's company. life is so strange an engima.

always remembered and never forgotten. ... till we meet again.

you left this earthly realm a little more than a decade ago. it was a privilege to know you in your lifetime and for us to have collaborated in a way, together with your dear, late father, John D. Britton. the memory of both of you is ever so vivid in my mind's eye. blessed be your memory.

I am so sorry to learn of John's passing. I came to meet and know him through his late father, John D., and his brother, Peter, with whom I was privileged to have worked in water development. my and my family's condolences and expressions of sympathy go to his widow and his sons, his brother, Peter, and his entire family. may his spirit be surrounded with light.

Mr. Britton was a true mentor to me when I first started out in the Insurance Industry over 30 years ago. My interactions with him and his associate Day at C.F. Management were always thought provoking, intelligent and interesting. He was an extremely intelligent man that had a heart of gold. My day just got a lot sadder knowing now that "Mr. B" is no longer with us. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dear Claudine, Sam, John and familyhi:
I am shocked. It seems only a while back we were rock climbing together. We lost touch since I remarried. I so enjoyed many things about John - his humor, outdoor skills, fun. I used replicas of his cuneiform tablets in my elementary classroom. I am so sorry. He'll be missed.
What a loss.
Fondly,
Deborah Twombly

A tres bientot. Nelly et Nat

Dear Claudine,
We were stunned to hear of John's passing. We appreciated his brilliant insights and enjoyed his humor as colleagues in the Babylonian astronomy group. He will be missed.

Dear Claudine, John, Sam and Peter,
I was deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. We became such good friends over the 20 years I worked for him at Conning and C F Management. I knew the pride he had in his sons, whom I watched grow up into fine young men. I learned so much from John..he was brilliant and compassionate, and funny. You are all in my prayers at this very sad time. With sincerest condolences. Day
