Not sure what to say?

Butch was the deskman on my first day of "reporting in" to Troop "B" for my first real day on the job. He was a good guy and could be counted on to have a few good jokes to liven up the begining of a shift. He will be missed.

"Badge #2" and I were classmates and I believe he is the first one of the class we have lost. He was a real professional and I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

Served many years with Butch at Troop L & B & Western District Major Crime. He was a senior detective with a professional work product. Respects from my family and regrets at his early passing.

"Butch" and I were classmates at the academy and worked together in the Western District. He was always a gentleman and a good and meticulous cop.

Sandy and I were sorry to hear that your father has passed away.
I served with your dad and grandfather in the State Police.
Our condolences to you and the rest of your family.

A great loss of the second generation of a famous state police family. Butch was a good cop.
