Not sure what to say?

Fr John was my great grandfathers brother from Dundrum Dublin Ireland. Would love to have a photo of Monsignor John Cardiff if anyone has one. Thank you and would love to hear any stories. Catherine Cardiff Co Wicklow Ireland

I'm an Irish relation of John but unfortunately never had the opportunity to meet. Suaimhneas Síoraí Air Dean

From your Irish family, only recently discovered the connection.

On his last visit to Arizona a few years ago, Fr. John said something that has changed my life. He said, "People are so busy worrying about tomorrow that they forget to enjoy today". And he was so right. I have tried to enjoy more todays and live life more in the moment. That's the least I can do for him after all he's done for us. I'm extremely grateful that my children got to participate in the masses at the kitchen table in our pajamas just like I did as a child in Tomahawk. We will miss...

I will certainly miss you, Monsignor. You were a great friend and an outstanding priest!

Monsignor you will truly be missed. I was so fortunate that at my last visit to St Linus earlier this year, you had surprised everyone and made it back to the altar. It was great seeing you and hearing your booming voice that seemed to carry forever. I was glad that my husband and children were there and we were proud to applaud your return. God Bless you and your family and thank you for everything.

We "Quigley-ites" have a term for the John Carfiff's of our Archdiocese: "He was one of the Titans!"

One OUTSTANDING Priest of Jesus Christ!!!!!

We will miss him!

We were so sorry to hear of Monsignor's passing. He was a very caring man, and he will be missed. But maybe God just felt that it was time to take His angel back!!! Our deepest condolences to Monsignor's family, and to the priests and staff at St. Linus.

In sympathy,
Jim and Terri Blazer
