Found an old calendar my Dad had from the store in 1931. The sentiment then is still valid now. Thought I would share. It was in Dad's things. I had it framed.

Deepest symphony on the loss of a true friend to everyone. John always had a smile and pat on the back or handshake for everyone. He will be truly missed. Hold on tight to all the memories that you have.

Marsha, I just found out today of your dear husbands death. I am so very sorry. You were blessed to have been married for so many years to a wonderful man. Our deepest sympathy for the family in your loss of John. Those of us who had the chance to know him were truly blessed. He had special sparkle in his eyes that always made people feel happy as he smiled at them. His willingness to help so many in emergency times with the best quality suits was at the very least admirable. We had four generations of his generous service in his store.
