Not sure what to say?

Dear Sunny, I loved reading Dabney's obituary! It says so much about your precious husband. I only wish I could have spent more time with him. I also loved reading the touching entries from friends. My siblings and I are so grateful to you and Dabney for all the love you have shown our mother. She delighted in you both! We children are blessed that she surrounded herself with wonderful souls like you and Dabney. Sending so much love. Love, Mollie K.

Dabney was an unforgettable character and friend working together at Citibank Chicago. As a southerner he introduced me to fresh ham, and I promptly served it at a dinner party. But I didn't understand really what it was - uncooked. I called Dabney later that evening, and we both laughed and wondered if I had poisoned all of my guests. (I didn't). I'll wear my shirt partially untucked today in his memory. My deepest sympathy to the family.

I met Dabney on our first day at work at Citibank in 1977. We became fast friends as `outsiders´ in our class of about 25 new bankers; Dabney, as the only southerner in the group, and me, as the only one without an MBA. We both felt like we had something to prove. Later we both moved to Chicago with the bank and enjoyed our shared work and the city. Dabney was always elegant and rumpled at the same time. He used to polish his glasses with the end of his tie in meetings when he was thinking...

a lovely person with a great sense of humour and I enjoyed his wisdom and counsel....

So many lovely memories flood my mind and Dabney will always remain in my heart as a special person who I had the privilege to know and work with. He was a rare person. His humour, passion for life and food and his giving nature has created a beautiful legacy. My hear goes out to sunny and the family as they go through this difficult time Sincere condolences - abha and Rakesh

I had the privilege of knowing him in Singapore and in New York. He had a keen sense of humor which I particularly remember and enjoyed. My heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace

I remember Dabney well from our days at the High School. He was always full of life and good humor. I do remember that he was a banker in the far east and believe that Clyde Jacobs told me that Dabney said that he got lots of good advice on that from Clyde's family. I shall keep him in my thoughts.
