Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a great guy, and loved so much by his family and friends. May he Rest In Peace.

I played hockey with John in the Natick men's league and learned of his passing recently. I knew him only as John, but what I do recall of him was his very friendly manner and sportsmanship on and off the ice. Always had a smile on his face, always a friendly hello. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. John was very well liked by everyone in our league and his passing is felt by all of us. RIP John!

Dear Lydia, I'm so sorry for your loss and my condolences to you and your family. You're in my thoughts. Much love, Margrit

To the Carroll Family,

I was so very sorry to hear the news. John was a year older than me growing up in our neighborhood and I remember him fondly. He had a great smile and a kind heart and was "wicked smaht!" Loved watching him play hockey and cheering him on. Walked past the Carroll house in S. Weymouth often to play in the creek at the end of the street. Such wonderful memories and his BCH & BC achievements were impressive. May his bright spirit live on through his family, his...

My deepest sympathy and condolences to all. I have only the best of memories of John.

While friendly at B.C. High, John and I forged a deep and permanent friendship our freshman year at B.C. We were roommates on the third floor of a house very close to campus. Our shared experiences as welcome refugees in the B.C. freshman dorms created a strong bond. John's wry sense of humor and ability to make light of the daily challenges and opportunities we were experiencing led to a series of inside jokes and catch phrases we shared and were also quickly adopted by our growing circle of...

To the Carroll family,

My heartfelt condolences on the passing of a dear soul. John was part of our neighborhood gang-Nash School, street hockey, skating in the swamp, riding bikes. I will always remember the Nutcracker in elementary school and how he hated that we all had to dance (and hold hands!) on stage. He was funny and a real character. He loved hockey and his BC high crew. There were 20+ of us in the Whipple/Rockcroft neighborhood-all the same age. He will always be part of my...

Dear John and family and friends, I want to try to thank you for the warmth of your quiet presence and enduring support support over these many decades of friendship. You were blessed to have received the true and abiding values of fidelity and self-reliance from your loving mom and dad, Therese and Jack. I owe them much for their example, kindnesses and the loan of their son for 4 of the best years of my life. I used to think that I loved BC more than anyone but time showed me the depth of...

My prayers are with you. I went to High School with John. He was always a good friend and great person. He will be missed.
