Not sure what to say?

Jack and I met in Navy boot camp in Great Lakes, Illinois in January 1973 and became friends. He and I were roommates at Fort Meade, Maryland for about two years. He helped me develop a love for music and was one of those people who was a friend to all. He has had a lasting impact on my life as it was Jack who introduced me to my now wife of 38 years. Was just watching the news and saw a piece on Amherst. I remembered a good Navy friend had gone there. Wondered what he was doing these days. So sad to come across his obituary. Jack and I were Arabic linguists together. The good old days. He was such a happy soul and could always make you feel good even on your worst day. I know he touched many lives and made this world a better place. You will be missed, Jack.❤

So sorry to hear about Jack's passing. He was such a fine and caring shipmate while in the Navy with me.

Sorry to hear about Jack's passing. He was as friendly and kind as anyone I've had the pleasure of working with.
